4 Best Cavapoo Breeders in Tennessee! (2023)

December 16, 2020 by Garrett Yamasaki

Cavapoo Breeders in Tennessee

Tennessee is a relatively large state and it can be hard to find a reputable Cavapoo breeder in your area when you look on your own. That is why we did our own research and have put together this list of Cavapoo breeders in Tennessee.

This is a good place to start your search before committing to a Cavapoo puppy from a breeder. We don’t recommend any puppy mills or backyard breeders on our list. We specifically look for breeders who health test, genetic test, and socialize their puppies free of kennels.

Adding a new Cavapoo to your family can be exciting as long as the puppy is healthy and socialized. A Cavapoo is a great family dog and will be a wonderful companion for their whole lives to their owners. It’s important to buy from a reputable breeder to ensure that your dog doesn’t have health issues later on in life. We always recommend that you also do your own research and visit the breeding facility.

1. Kathy’s Cavapoos Tennessee

Kathy’s Cavapoos

Kathy’s Cavapoos is a breeder in Tennessee that is actually run by a team of two breeders named Kathy and Jan. They have only been in business for three years but love what they do and will continue to grow the business. They also have another friend, Tammy, who helps out and has two of the breeding females as her own companion pets.

They ask that you contact the breeder for the exact location of their breeding program as well as the pricing of their Cavapoo puppies for sale in Tennessee. Their Cavapoo puppies do come home with some excellent benefits to start your journey as a pet parent on the right foot.

One of our favorite benefits is 30 days of Trupanion health insurance. This is a great way to make sure that you have planned for the unexpected for the first 30 days of bringing home your Cavapoo puppy. In addition, all of their Cavapoo puppies in Tennessee come with a one-year genetic health guarantee. Even though all of the breeding adults do get tested for genetic issues they could pass on, there is no guarantee that these issues won’t pop up in their puppies. Any reputable Cavapoo breeder will offer some type of genetic guarantee on their puppies.

This Cavapoo breeder in Tennessee also makes sure the puppies are socialized. They are around normal household sounds and even get to go for rides in the car. Kathy’s Cavapoo puppies are also exposed to children and other pets to make sure they are well rounded. This makes it easy for the puppies to transfer to new environments without being overly stressed or anxious.

If you are interested in having your puppy delivered, Kathy and Jan do offer a service for an extra mileage charge. They also have puppy flight nannies that will fly with your puppy for an additional charge so the Cavapoo puppies don’t have to fly in cargo. These are services that can be arranged with Kathy and Jan so you can contact them today!

2. Cavapoos R Us Tennessee

Cavapoos R Us

Cavapoos R Us is owned and operated by a husband and wife team that is dedicated to making sure the Cavapoos from their program are the best they can be.

This means that they want their puppies to go on to live a long and healthy life with their forever families. All of their breeding adults are health and genetic tested every year at the University of Tennessee.

They take the process of ensuring the health of their adults and puppies very seriously. This is the foundation for a good dog breeding program. They do have adults with strong, champion pedigrees, but that isn’t what the owners focus on as their first rule. As their first rule, they focus more on health, socialization, and training. These are the things that truly make a difference when Cavapoo puppies go to their new owners.

They don’t currently have any Cavapoo puppies available and they go fast when they do plan a breeding. The best way to make sure you get notified when puppies are available is to contact the Cavapoo breeders directly to express your interest and find out about the process. Otherwise, you might miss your chance to get one of these healthy and well adjusted Cavapoos.

If you don’t live within driving distance of the breeder, they will ship your puppy. They have never had a negative occurrence and are confident that your Cavapoo puppy will arrive safe and sound. There is an additional $350 fee for shipping the puppy to cover airfare, the crate, and the other items arriving. These Cavapoo breeders are also willing to meet new owners at the airport near them in Tennessee if the owner prefers to fly home with them.

3. Tail Wagging Puppies Tennessee

Tail Wagging Puppies

Tail Wagging Puppies is a multigeneration Cavapoo breeding operation that has been in the business for 40 years. This is a family business in every sense of the word. They have a veterinarian on retainer and invite you to call them to ask questions about Tail Wagging Puppies. This breeder does offer several different breeds of puppies and is a rather large operation. Cavapoos are just one of the dog breeds that they offer.

However, even with the size, they invite visits and questions from interested parties. They openly claim to not be a puppy mill and don’t mind when clients make sure that this is a true statement. Feel free to ask them any questions about their dogs!

They do take some time to get back to people but that is because they get so many calls and emails a day. They are responsive but it could be up to a week before they contact you back. They ask that those trying to contact them are patient.

Their pricing on Cavapoos puppies in Tennessee is reasonable but varies for males and females. The male Cavapoo puppies for sale are priced at $900 while the females are $1000. It states on the website that deposits are non-refundable and are $300. They are very clear that it could be 6 months before a hopeful owner gets a puppy after leaving a deposit.

If that is not okay with the interested party then Tail Wagging Puppies asks that you don’t leave a deposit as it will not be refunded for any reason. A 6-month waitlist for Cavapoo puppies in Tennesee is relatively normal for highly reputable breeders.

Shipping is offered for their Cavapoo puppies. If you are interested in a certain puppy that is still available and need to have it shipped, contact the breeder to first confirm the puppy is available. They will give you the shipping price but prefer that you pick up the puppy in person.

4. Allison Hollow Puppies TN

Allison Hollow Puppies

A family business with over 14 years of breeding experience with several different breeds of dogs – one of which is the Cavapoo. This is a dog breeder dedicated to the health and well-being of their dogs.

The owners are a husband and wife team, Stever and Heather Filipetti, including their children in the business. Everyone plays their part to make this a business that matches healthy and happy Cavapoo puppies with their forever families.

Because of the quality of the Cavapoo puppies they send home with families, there is a substantial waiting list for most of the breeds in their program. Their Cavapoo puppies for sale in Tennessee have a four to six month waiting list.

In addition to the quality and temperament, the price also contributes to the long waiting list. Females are $1795 plus Tennessee taxes and the males are $1495. These are very reasonably priced Cavapoo puppies in Tennessee. Because many of the breeds they raise are great service and therapy dogs, Allison Hollow Puppies offers veterans and first responders $100 off any of the puppies available.

This breeder does not currently do any genetic or health testing. They do, however, have annual visits to their veterinarian. This is not ideal and we like to see breeders that test their breeding adults for genetic and health conditions, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t a reputable breeder.

You as the buyer should ask more questions and request a visit. Don’t be afraid to ask hard questions before placing a deposit.

Conclusion for Cavapoo Breeders in Tennessee

Cavapoo puppies for sale Tennessee

There are several Cavapoo breeders in Tennessee, but that doesn’t mean they are all created equally. In order to ensure that you get a healthy and happy puppy, you want to find a reputable breeder that does health testing and genetic testing on their puppies.

As we were searching for Cavapoo breeders, we also noticed tons of puppy mills and backyard breeders. We suggest that you don’t support these operation. While their Cavapoo puppies in Tennessee may be slightly cheaper, you may end up paying more in medical bills later down the line. Best of luck finding your Cavapoo puppy!
