2. Ford
A classic car name that will never let you down. Ford serves well as a car name and can easily serve as a non-car name too. You’ve heard the catchphrase “Built Ford Tough” so why not give your dog some of that tough juju and name him Ford?
3. Axle
Axle is a great car part name for a dog. If your dog is big and tough, picture the name Axle. Of course, if he is small maybe the name Axle will give him a confidence boost! The axle is the part of the car that passes through your wheels and stabilizes them. It’s a great dog name too!
4. Porsche
If you have a pretty dog and you need a pretty name, name her after the pretty car Porsche. You can even put a slight twist on it and name her Porscha if you don’t want to be too obvious naming her after the car. The Porsche 911 is a very sleek and smooth sports car so it seems fitting for a dog.
5. Chevy
Go with another classic car brand, the Chevy. Chevy makes a variety of cars and trucks but it’s a popular name among car brands and car lovers. It makes a great option for a dog and might even be used for either a male or female – it’s totally up to you. This brand will always be an icon in the industry.
6. Phantom
Speaking of luxury cars, Rolls Royce has created the Phantom. This is one of their signature vehicles and your dog deserves a name like this! Plus, it’s pretty cool sounding when you say it out loud. It’s quiet, it’s luxurious, and it’s spacious. Any dog would be lucky to be named after this beauty of a car.
7. Shelby
If you like Ford or the Mustang, why not name your dog Shelby after the Shelby Cobra or the Shelby Mustang? The Dog Name Matters
The name of your dog really matters. Naming your dog might set the tone for their entire life, much like a human name. It’s what they will answer to and what they will know themselves to be.
At the same time, you want to keep your dog’s name simple to understand. While you can certainly go with some cool and extended names, it may not be beneficial to your dog. Pick a moniker that fits your pup’s personality.
If your name is too complicated or even too long, it might be challenging for your dog to understand their name. Dogs do best with names that are 1-2 syllables and fairly short in length. It’s just the way that their brains work.
In addition, we would probably do better with shorter names as well because we have to be able to easily use and pronounce that name when we’re talking to our dogs, right? We hope that you found a car dog name for your boy or girl dog!
