As dog owners, we always feel bad when we’re leaving the house for work or errands and our pup looks at us with those sad eyes. How can we leave our pups alone at home? Thankfully, we don’t have to. Charlotte, North Carolina is home to some fantastic doggy daycare facilities. Two facilities on this list are daycare centers as well as dog bars! Grab a drink and something to eat after you’re done with your day, hang out with your dog and his friends for a while, and then head back home!

1. Lucky Dog Bark & Brew
We just had to put this one at the top of the list. Where else can you grab a beer and let your dog play with his friends in the same place? Pick him up from daycare, grab a drink before heading home, and you’re both relaxed and happy after a long day. It’s perfect!
Lucky Dog has three locations in the Charlotte area: Charlotte, Steele Creek, and Lake Norman! One of these locations is certainly convenient for you.
Lucky Dog daycare facilities encourage socialization, exercise, and – most of all – peace of mind. Your dog will be happy and safe staying here. They require a temperament test and proof of current vaccines. Dogs are separated into play groups based on size and play style.
After daycare, take your dog to the indoor or outdoor play yard at the Dog Bar. Enjoy a drink and watch TV while your pup plays on the obstacle courses. The indoor area is heated for the colder months. While the bar doesn’t serve food, you are welcome to bring your own (human) food, local restaurants will deliver to you, and there are food trucks on location a few days each week.
A full day of daycare costs $27 and a half day costs $18. You can get discounts for multiple dogs and multi-day packages. Register your pup online if you’re new. And if you’re already registered, go online to make a reservation.
